Antique 9ct Gold Octagon Cut Amethyst Dress Ring, Size M

A beautiful Victorian 9ct gold amethyst dress ring, set with an octagon cut amethyst, flanked on either side with delicate scrolling. 

The ring features a hallmark for 9ct gold, and the well saturated amethyst measures approximately 12 mm by 12 mm.

Amethyst is the birthstone for February, and derives from the Greek word 'amethystos', meaning sober; it was also said to have been favoured by St. Valentine, patron saint of love and marriage.
