Vintage 9ct Gold Square Cut Amethyst and Diamond Cocktail Ring, Size M 1/2

A beautiful solid 9ct gold amethyst cocktail ring, set with a large square cut amethyst, flanked on either side with a trio of small brilliant cut diamonds. 

The ring features British 9K hallmarks, and the deep, well saturated amethyst measures approximately 12 mm by 12 mm.

Amethyst is the birthstone for February, and derives from the Greek word 'amethystos', meaning sober; it was also said to have been favoured by St. Valentine, patron saint of love and marriage.
